Reiss has always had an affinity towards teaching and 'expressing knowledge'. Whilst at secondary school and college, Reiss took up some work experience, working in performing art schools and dance clubs, assisting the teachers with their classes . After completing an extensive run with Olivier Award Winning West End show 'In The Heights', Reiss decided to make a decision to take a step towards teaching. Reiss's first role into his teaching career was 'Dance Teacher' for Razzamataz Sutton Coldfield, eventually rising to the role of Head of Dance. Since then, Reiss has taught workshops and masterclasses across the UK to students of various ages as well as having taught as a guest teacher at numerous schools and academies including The Urdang Academy, Leicester College of Performing Arts, The Arden Theatre School and The Brighton Academy. Whilst looking to expand his teaching experience, he was able to go back to where his training started, and was given the role of Dance Lecturer in Urban and Jazz at Westminster Kingsway College, London. As well as teaching, Reiss has trains with renowned Hip Hop theatre dance company, Birdgang Dance Company. With a passion for Hip Hop, Reiss has been able to gain a more in depth knowledge of the style dance.

"When I had finished my run with 'In The Heights' and I decided that it was the perfect time to follow another passion that had grown in me whilst I was gaining more experience with every job I performed in. My passion for the Performing Arts, especially dance and acting, in stills a strong belief in my teaching. I always strive to get my students to express themselves to the fullest through positive affirmation, whatever level they are at personally. I am determined to always challenge and get the best from my students, ensuring this is done through positive affirmation so that their confidence grows in their abilities. My expectation is that every student leaves my classes knowing in themselves that they gave what they could give without regret. And if mistakes were made, the next time will be better, and the next time..."

"Being able to teach back at my old college (Westminster Kingsway College) always reminds me why I got into teaching. This was where my passion for dance started, so working with the students that are in the same position I was in, allows to solidifies my teaching aspirations through my expression of the knowledge I have gained since graduating in 2010"
